Available Workshops

  • Introduction to Power Exchange

During this discussion-based workshop, Darren will provide tips on how first to start exploring Power Exchange, including what to consider when negotiating a power-based scene or relationship. Also covered will be some common beginner missteps for those who are just starting. Whether you’re looking to build a hot scene or a 24/7 dynamic, there’s something in this class for every beginner.

  • New To Non-Monogamy

There are so many options for exploring non-monogamy and there aren’t a lot of roadmaps to help us find our way. Whether you’re interested in polyamory, swinging, open relationships or any other way of connecting with more than one partner, this is the introductory workshop for you. In this workshop, we talk about defining key terms, how to explore non-monogamy as safely as possible, and how to make sure we treat everyone involved with the care and consideration they deserve. We will spend a significant amount of time talking about jealousy, envy, and how to navigate our feelings when we first start building non-monogamous connections.

18+ Workshop for adults interested in discussions about non-monogamy

  • Collaborative Consent - Pursuing Pleasure While Reducing Risk

Good sex and play result from connection and communication. But how do we share our desires and create consent with our partners while keeping it sexy? How do we push past the awkward and have fun while negotiating? In this class, Darren will guide students through a collaborative approach to consent that emphasizes mutual connection and responsibility for consent in a scene. Particular emphasis is given to the possibilities inherent in enthusiastic consent, the roles bottoms/submissives can play in creating spaces of mutual consent, and reducing and understanding risk. The class also includes an in-depth discussion of non-transactional models of consent and negotiation, discussing the benefits on both an individual level and for a wider community interested in reducing harm.

  • Non-Monogamous Power Exchange

A submissive serving 2 dominants? Owners who are also owned by someone else? Dominants with a "stable" of submissives? In this class, we're going to talk about navigating non-monogamy and power exchange. We will pay particular attention to setting boundaries, metamour (your partner’s partner) connections, and how to balance multiple levels of power exchange at the same time.

This class is open to all attendees over the age of 18 of all experience levels.

  • Exploring Dominant Vulnerablity

The "Bitch Goddess". The icy, demanding sadist. The "perfect" dominant who can do no wrong. These might be appealing as erotic fantasies, but also may provide concerns around safety, intimacy, connection, and growth in our relationships and play. Intimacy and connection require vulnerability and openness.

In this workshop, Darren will discuss dominance as a form of relational and erotic expression and the pressure dominants sometimes feel to be "perfect". Particular attention will be paid to the pressure we place on ourselves and each other to not make mistakes or express the "wrong" feelings. Time will also be spent talking about the ways that perfectionism, gender expectations, and ego can get in the way of intimacy and authentic connection. Tips and ideas for avoiding some of the pitfalls of these challenges and encouraging more vulnerability in our connections will also be provided, with time allocated for questions and contributions from fellow attendees.

  • Providing & Receiving Personal Service

Service can be exciting and intimidating. Where do we start? How do we find someone to serve, and how do we negotiate that service? What if we want to receive service, how and where do we start? What makes for great service? In this class, Darren will discuss how to explore service as a submissive and create dynamics that work for us. Whether you’re interested in providing the occasional afternoon of cleaning or a 24/7 dynamic, they’ll talk about:

    • "Training" - What it is and what it isn't

    • Assessing and improving skills and abilities

    • Finding opportunities to serve

    • Setting boundaries while giving up control at the same time

    • Anticipatory vs. directed service

    • Common missteps and misunderstandings

This class is open to attendees of all power orientations and dynamics.

  • Intentional Surrender - Tips & Tricks For Deeper & More Sustainable Submission

For people interested in healthy power exchange, the submissive role is not a passive one. Even though the idea may seem counterintuitive, surrender and devotion to a fellow imperfect being require thoughtfulness and intentionality. There are many, many skills that are involved with creating and maintaining a healthy power exchange, and this work cannot be done exclusively by the dominant.

During this class, Darren will provide practical tips and advice on how to support and maintain a power exchange relationship from the submissive role. Time will be spent discussing how to maintain mindset, language that we can use in support of our power exchange, how to forgive our dominant when they have hurt us or the relationship, and many other points of interest to submissive folks interested in building long-term, successful D/s relationships.

This class is open to all attendees over the age of 18 and is open to attendees of all power orientations and dynamics, but will focus primarily on the experience and perspectives of people who play a submissive role in sex and/or relationships.

  • Powerful Bottoming - Communication for Kick-Ass Bottoms

The typical BDSM script says that Tops have to be great communicators. That our job as a Bottom is to sit there and have stuff happen to us. Bullshit! In this class, we're going to talk about communicating our desires. We'll dive into different ways that Submissives can teach from the Bottom while still maintaining a power dynamic. We'll talk about providing feedback and encouragement for our Tops (aka Top Cookies). This class is about being equal partners in the success of our dynamics and supporting our Tops to create mind-blowing, amazing scenes.

This class is open to attendees of all power orientations and dynamics, but will focus primarily on the experience of bottoms and their persepctive.

  • Rewards & Punishment in D/s Dynamics

If we get all our information from porn, we've been taught that D/s is all about punishing errant slaves for all types of infractions, real and imagined. The reality is that both reward and punishment have a place in D/s dynamics and scenes if approached with consideration and intention. During this class, we will talk about setting up reward systems, correcting behaviour, and the difference between punishment and "funishment." Darren will provide time for questions and trouble-shooting at the end of the class.

  • Pick-Up D/s - Power Exchange on the Fly

So we just met a hot Dominant or Submissive in the Dungeon. We'd love to play with them, but we don't want it to just be about Top & Bottom. We want to play with power, with intention. We're feeling that connection and want to explore it further. How do we do this? How do we create D/s connections that are temporary but authentic? How do we use language to reinforce the dynamic? How does physical play support the emotional connection we're trying to nourish? Darren will address these questions and more as they provide practical tips and tricks for creating hot D/s Pick-Up play.

  • Knowing Ourselves as Submissives

Who am I as a submissive? What do I need to be the best, most authentic version of myself possible in my scenes and life? During this class, Darren will lead exercises and discussions that help answer that question. Knowing this about ourselves helps us be better partners to our Dominants (current or future), communicate our needs for scenes and relationships and be at peace with who we are and what we want.

This class is open to attendees of all power orientations and dynamics but will be taught from the submissive perspective.

  • Introduction to Ageplay

What is Ageplay? What are some of the typical roles, and how do we explore, either on our own or with a partner? These are the types of questions we'll explore during this 101 class, with lots of time provided to answer questions and address individual questions.

This class is open to any interested adults age 18+. Ageplay is roleplay between consenting adults that focuses on playing with the trappings, power, and tropes of pretending to be at an age that we actually are not.

  • Getting A Little Dirty: Sex & Power in Ageplay

We will talk about using Ageplay as a way to play with sex and power during this class. Whether you're a Dominant Daddy, a Submissive Auntie, a Switchy Schoolgirl or any other role, we'll discuss how we can explore power while also exploring Ageplay. We'll also discuss different ways of incorporating other BDSM play into our ageplay, including fetishes and roleplays such as consensual non-consent and “dark” ageplay.

  • Creating Personal Protocols

During this class, we'll talk about the basics of Protocol. What protocol is, why some people enjoy it and what it can do to contribute to a scene or relationship. We'll provide specific examples of protocols commonly used in scenes and relationships and discuss how to approach exploring this in your own lives. Special attention will be paid to exploration and finding ways of doing the protocol that works for your life. Darren will allow time to address questions.

  • Obedience

For some of us, obedience is a core part of our identity in relationships. We seek intense D/s connections that ask a lot of us and give much in return. This class talks about obedience as a part of kink play and as a part of ongoing dynamics. We’ll talk about navigating consent, keeping ourselves and our hearts as safe as possible and the joys of obedience-based play and connection. We’ll also talk about creative ways of encouraging obedience in our dynamic.

  • Practical Chastity for People with Penises

“Lock me up and throw away the key!” So many of us fantasize about chastity, whether as an occasional spice or the main part of our relationships. In this class, we’ll talk about the gear options, the mental options, and chastity safety with people with penises. We’ll spend some time dispelling some myths and sharing how hot and fun this play can be.

This class is open to all attendees over the age of 18.
